As a trusted advisor to our customers you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service**How you will do it*** Apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.* Apprentices will participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy that will build skill sets to provide continued opportunities for recognition, monetary rewards and advancement.* Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues as well as customer needs.* You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed.* You will meet attendance requirements for required Union training for first year.* Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.* Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.**What we look for*** Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.* 1+ years of industry experience or experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.* Generally required knowledge includes mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques* Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.* Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment on a job site* Self-starter with ability to eventually work independently.* Prioritize safety in all forms.* This position requires a valid driver’s license.**Preferred** 1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis.**\\*This is a Bargaining Unit Position.**Pay Range: $20-30 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
