Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC truck-based industrial mechanic (union) to support Amarillo, TX. You will work on light and heavy commercial HVACR equipment, provide on-site service, troubleshooting, and customer-facing quotes.

The role requires union affiliation, safety focus, and the ability to travel—up to 20%—to serve branch customers across NA. A background in mechanical systems and EPA refrigerants license is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience.
• EPA refrigerants license and applicable state or local licensing.
• Member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel 10–20% to support branch activities.

May be required to satisfactorily pass an examination to identify special skills. Scope of work shall be limited to commercial HVACR service. Servicemen may partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and open-drive screw chillers.
