Job summary

YDU JC Air Cond & Ref Inc.- Dubai is looking for a skilled HVAC technician based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The role includes providing top-tier service to address facility inefficiencies and ensuring operational efficiency through effective troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in HVAC, an EPA refrigerants license, and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to customers. This is a Bargaining Unit Position with a pay rate of $31.61 hourly.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of three years of practical working experience on residential and/or ducted products.
• Ability to repair centrifugal compressors and steam turbines.
• Ready to travel 10% to 20% to support branch customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.
• As a trusted advisor to our customers, provide solutions and outcomes at the time of commissioning and aftermarket service.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility is running efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL‑CIO.
• Dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn and responsible for startup, commissioning, troubleshooting and aftermarket services for this fast-growing business.
• Minimum of three (3) years of practical working experience on residential and/or ducted products, air‑cooled and/or water‑cooled chillers, AHUs or roof‑top ducted units with strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chiller system components.
• Ready to travel 10% to 20% to support branch customers.
• Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
• Enroll in training programs and JCI’s STA to gain knowledge in HVAC products and sales quoting.
• Show attention to detail, interpersonal, digital and written skills.
• Ability to write and communicate to the customer the problem, cause, and corrective actions.
• Provide quotes to customers and participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.
• Self‑starter with a passion and desire to learn and apply on the job.
• Prioritize safety in all forms.
• Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver’s license.

• This is a Bargaining Unit Position.
• Pay Range: $31.61 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.
• Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
