Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC mechanics for light to heavy commercial applications in Tennessee. You will service and repair commercial heating and cooling systems, working with top-tier equipment, and maintaining safety and quality standards at all times.

You will receive factory training through our STA, with milestone rewards and opportunities for advancement, while earning competitive hourly compensation and a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Ability to commit to a 30-Hour OSHA Certification after hire (evenings/weekends).
• Computer savvy with good verbal and written communication skills.

How will you do it

Mechanicsmust have practical working experience in light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment. May berequiredto satisfactorily pass an examination toidentifyspecial skills. Scope of work shall be limited to commercial HVACR service.Servicemenmay partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and absorption machines, open-drive screw chillers and ammonia systems.Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What we look for

Required

• Five (5) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.

• Ability to commit to a 30-Hour OSHA Certification which is to be done after hours and weekends isrequiredupon hire

• Computer savvy with good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

• Seven (7) years of Commercial and or industrial work experience in the HVAC industry

• Refrigeration Certification preferred

• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification

Pay Range: $36.15/HR. Hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
