Job summary

UL Solutions in Plano, TX seeks a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join the Appliance, HVAC, and Electronic Control team. This onsite role collaborates with clients, conducts tests, and ensures compliance with UL requirements on product inspection and testing.

You will coordinate projects, prepare data sheets, and support continuous improvement while interacting with clients to promote services and discuss project scope, costs, and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• Strong communication, project management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, plan investigations, and determine cost, time, and sample requirements from client input and product data.
• Coordinate client communications, discuss technical issues, and negotiate completion dates and sample requirements.
• Provide technical assistance to clients on product inspection and UL requirements; review files and manufacturer data.
• Coordinate laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructing technicians, scheduling tasks, and tracking completion dates.
• Explain UL procedures and requirements to clients and address concerns; represent UL at industry functions.
