Job Summary:

The Ainsworth family is looking for an energetic team member to install and repair various air quality systems. Responsibilities include examining blueprints, diagnosing and fixing issues, performing routine maintenance, and providing technical direction and training. This role will include oversight of repairs and guidance to fellow technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing and repairing various air quality systems, such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, including mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Conducting warranty services and emergency repairs on certain equipment items.
  • Performing system maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, adjusting, and fixing.
  • Delegating and directing the activities of outside contractors, including setting priorities and performing quality control checks.
  • Completing electronic or paper-based records of maintenance tasks.
  • Planning and directing maintenance operations under supervision.
  • Problem-solving for the team.
  • Instructing team members on proper maintenance techniques and providing hands-on training.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Possess a license, required in many states (USA), or hold journeyman or greater certification in the province of employment (Canada).
  • Must have a Universal Refrigerant License (USA) or ODP/ODS certification (Canada).
  • Certification to specialize in the field.
  • At least 5 years of work experience.
  • Skills in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and repairing or replacing faulty parts.
  • Ideally 1+ years of leadership experience in a maintenance support team.
  • Ability to coordinate efforts to uphold operational standards.
  • Responding promptly to maintenance issues.
  • Blend of technical expertise and leadership skills.
  • Effective task prioritization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Advanced organizational skills.
