Job summary

Capstone Mechanical is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician to service and repair HVAC/R systems at multiple sites in the Waterville, ME area. You will lead installations, maintenance, and repairs with an emphasis on high-quality customer care and safety.

The role includes on-call rotation with a stipend and a strong team-focused culture. We value hands-on problem solvers who communicate clearly, carry a valid driver's license, and are willing to obtain EPA and OSHA10 certifications with company

Qualifications

• Commercial HVAC experience preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
• Clear written and verbal communication; valid driver's license.
• Willingness to obtain EPA & OSHA10 certifications with company support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service commercial HVAC/R equipment at assigned locations.
• Perform repairs, quotes, and installations; logging details in internal software.
• Coordinate schedules for service, maintenance, and quoted work.
• Participate in on-call rotation and ensure safety policies are followed.

What You’ll Accomplish

• Maintain commercial HVAC/R equipment (e.g., RTUs up to 40 tons, split systems, light refrigeration)
• Perform HVAC service repairs, quotes, installs, and maintenance for assigned customer locations
• Participate in on call rotation
• Log service details accurately using our internal software
• Schedules service, maintenance, and quoted work in internal software
• Obtains part pricing, and builds quotes
• Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times

Basic Requirements:

• Commercial HVAC experience preferred
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and strong mechanical aptitude
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment
• Ability to use hand/power tools, gauges, and testing equipment
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check
• Willingness to obtain EPA & OSHA10 certifications (company-supported)

Physical Requirements

Comfortable working outdoors and on rooftops, in hot or cold conditions

Weekly Pay ($28-$45/hr., based on experience)
