HVAC Technician Team Lead Chiller (union)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and replacement of HVAC Chilled water mechanical equipment under general direction.
• Assist branch leadership with coaching and mentoring technicians to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to operational processes.
• Provide Level 1 technical support and contribute to the technical development of team members.
• Ensure all work complies with legal requirements and uphold high ethical standards.
• Complete all project and service documentation accurately.

How You Will Do It

• Be a member or become a member of Union Local 211.
• Follow Johnson Controls and customer safety standards, providing safety leadership and training.
• Handle escalations for technical issues and guide technicians on complex system problems.
• Assist management in maintaining operational discipline and identifying training needs.
• Contribute to developing quotes, estimates, and material needs for service delivery.
• Communicate effectively with customers and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Manage work assignments to meet quality, timeliness, and customer expectations.
• Engage in self-study to maintain technical proficiency and complete required training and certifications.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of Chiller experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in technical activities.
• Ability to independently coordinate work on customer sites.
• Effective interpersonal skills for customer and team interactions.
