Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious, and highly skilled HVAC Service Technician/Installer to join our team. Mann’s Heating & Air Conditioning, a family-owned business with 62 years of experience, offers a great environment to refine existing skills and stay current with new technologies. The primary responsibilities include HVAC installation, repair, and service. This role involves handling service calls to customers' homes, providing excellent customer service, and assisting customers in selecting services, products, and financing options. Availability for some nights and weekends is required.

Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems.
2. Provide excellent customer service.
3. Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
4. Travel to job sites within the service area and coordinate with the dispatcher to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are communicated.
5. Obtain customer authorization/signature for payment or financing upon job completion.
6. Document all installed equipment, including make, model, serial number, fuel type, and photographs as necessary.
7. Assist customers in evaluating repair versus replacement options.
8. Meet or exceed performance standards.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience installing HVAC systems (ductless mini splits, steam boilers, hot water boilers, central AC/HP, and hot air furnaces).
• Necessary hand tools for installations.
• Willingness to pursue ongoing education and training.
• Experience with forced hot air and hot water systems.
• Knowledge of local HVAC codes and the ability to apply them practically on each job.
• Ability to work with inspectors, suppliers, and co-workers to ensure code compliance and correct project execution.
• Valid and clean driver’s license.
• Willingness to work overtime and on-call shifts as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
