Job summary

Summit Services, the fastest growing HVAC company in the LowCountry, is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to join the team. A sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits package are offered to eligible candidates.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems for residential and commercial clients. The role requires a valid driver’s license, EPA certification, and the ability to work in attics or crawl spaces.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• HVAC service technician experience or equivalent education.
• High school education or higher.
• EPA certification is required.
• Experience with operation and maintenance of chillers, heat pumps, air handlers, and geothermal systems.
• Ability to climb ladders, crawl, and lift 40 pounds.
• Able to go into hot attic spaces, crawl spaces, stairs, etc.
• Outgoing and personable attitude with the willingness to learn and grow.
• Team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings.
• Repair or service HVAC systems to improve efficiency.
• Test pipes/joints for leaks using gauges or soap solution.
• Test electrical circuits or components for continuity with testing equipment.
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
• Explain solutions to customers and ensure satisfaction on every call.
• Establish customer rapport to achieve high satisfaction.
• Maintain inventory in service truck and keep equipment organized.
• Be on-call rotation for after-hours calls.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Effectively diagnose, solve problems and maintain HVAC systems in both residential and commercial applications along with having a good understanding of indoor air quality products
• Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, in residential or commercial establishments, to improve efficiency
• Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution
• Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
• Effectively explain solutions to customers regarding their needs, while ensuring complete customer gratification on every call
• Establish customer rapport to ensure the highest levels of satisfaction
• Keep and maintain inventory in your service truck
• Keep truck, tools, and supplies organized
• Be on-call rotation with other technicians for after-hours calls

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License
• Past experience as an HVAC service technician or comparable education
• High School Education or Beyond
• EPA Certification
