Job summary

Summit Services in Hilton Head, Bluffton area is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to join our growing team. A sign-on bonus, company vehicle, gas card and phone are provided to eligible applicants.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings, testing components, and maintaining indoor air quality. EPA certification and a valid driver’s license are required; willingness to be on-call is expected as part of the team.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Past experience as HVAC service technician or comparable education.
• EPA Certification is required.
• Experience with operation and maintenance of chillers, heat pumps, air handlers, and geothermal systems.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and go into hot attic or crawl spaces.

Responsibilities

• Effectively diagnose, solve problems and maintain HVAC systems in residential and commercial applications with understanding of indoor air quality products.
• Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency.
• Test pipe/tubing joints for leaks using pressure gauge or soap-water solution.
• Test electrical circuits/components for continuity.
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
• Explain solutions to customers and ensure customer satisfaction on every call.
• Establish customer rapport for high satisfaction.
• Keep and maintain inventory in service truck; organize tools and supplies.
• Be on-call rotation with other technicians for after-hours calls.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Effectively diagnose, solve problems and maintain HVAC systems in both residential and commercial applications along with having a good understanding of indoor air quality products
• Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, in residential or commercial establishments, to improve efficiency
• Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution
• Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring

• Effectively explain solutions to customers regarding their needs, while ensuring complete customer gratification on every call
• Establish customer rapport to ensure the highest levels of satisfaction
• Keep and maintain inventory in your service truck
• Keep truck, tools, and supplies organized
• Be on-call rotation with other technicians for after-hours calls

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License
• Past experience as an HVAC service technician or comparable education
• High School Education or Beyond
• EPA Certification

• Ability to climb ladders, crawl, and lift 40 pounds
• Able to go into hot attic spaces, crawl spaces, stairs, etc.
• Outgoing and personable attitude with the willingness to learn and grow
