Service Experts is looking for an HVAC service assistant in Hampton Bays, NY. You will perform maintenance calls, routine tune-ups, and assist technicians across heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with additional training and 2+ years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification preferred.
• Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by laws for the geographical work area.
• EPA and safety certifications required.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC operation and related accessories.
• Proficient mechanical aptitude and ability to operate tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance calls under supervision and conducts routine tune-ups on HVAC systems.
• Inspects equipment, performs limited diagnostics to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Delivers and removes parts and equipment needed for service work.
• Assists technicians in servicing heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
• Records information on a handheld device and completes paperwork accurately.
