Job summary

Daikin Applied in Greensboro, NC is seeking an HVAC Service Technician II to service a range of commercial equipment including rooftops and chillers. You will train others, inspect systems, and perform warranty work while maintaining safety standards.

Requirements include 3+ years HVAC experience or relevant education, valid driver's license, and preferred EPA Universal Technician, OSHA 10, and CPR certifications. The company provides a vehicle and devices for field work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years HVAC experience.
• Associates degree or HVAC certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• CPR/First Aid card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
• Perform warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components.
• Direct Level I technicians through hands-on demonstrations of all necessary steps to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Introduction to centrifugal rebuilds from Lead and Level III technicians.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner.
• Interact with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call.
• Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning. Maintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets.
• Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld.
• Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures
