Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an HVAC Technician 1 to deliver, install, and service portable HVAC equipment for our customers. You will train authorized operators on safe use and operate primarily in the shop to keep gear organized and ready for rental.

This role requires strong customer communication and a willingness to work after hours on a rotating schedule. The position emphasizes a professional appearance and service excellence, with benefits and training typical for full-time roles at

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in a service-related role interacting with customers.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment and trains the authorized operator on safe use of the equipment.
• Communicates professionally with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Cleans and tests returned equipment, ensuring operation and appearance meet standards; completes paperwork for deliveries, pickups and service calls.
• On-call for emergency service on weekends and evenings, and works primarily in the shop to keep it organized, clean and safe.
