Sunbelt Rentals is hiring an HVAC Technician 1 in Orlando, FL to deliver portable HVAC equipment, train customers on safe operation, and support shop duties to keep gear organized and ready for rental.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a service role, basic math skills, and a mechanical aptitude. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required; willingness to work after hours and weekends is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a service-related role interacting with customers.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record free from points.
• Must be at least 21 years or older.
• Must be able to work some after hours and weekend work during peak times.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment and trains the authorized operator (and/or customer) on safe use of the equipment.
• Directs customers to sign appropriate paperwork; keeps track of serial numbers.
• Troubleshoots operation, function, specifications and controls of rental equipment.
• Operates company vehicle safely and follows safety policies.
• Cleans and tests returned equipment; ensures operation and appearance meet standards.
• Completes paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Installs gas hose on propane and natural gas applications; checks gas connections.
• Keeps records of in-stock and rented equipment; works with managers and sales engineers.
• On-call for emergency service on a rotating schedule.
