Job summary

Paysbig in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an HVAC Technician I to service and repair casino HVAC systems, ensuring comfort and safety for guests and staff. The role requires flexibility with shifts and on-call rotations, high attention to safety, and strong problem-solving skills.

You will work with heat pumps, VAV boxes, AHUs, boilers, and related equipment, performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and timely repairs while upholding OSHA standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years HVAC experience.
• Formal HVAC training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience with VAV boxes, chillers, boilers and related systems.
• Experience with building automation systems: Niagara AX or Trane Tracer Summit preferred.
• Experience with Energy Wheel Recovery technology preferred.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• HVAC refrigerant handling certification (Universal preferred) or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Office skills and general computer knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to interact with guests and team members professionally.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, holidays.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair HVAC equipment including heat pumps, VAV boxes, AHUs, RTUs, condensers, pumps, boilers, and chillers.
• Monitor HVAC systems using building automation; adjust BAS for comfort and efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance: inspect, replace filters, clean coils, lubricate units.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly with safety and guest service in mind.
• Maintain inventory of HVAC parts and tools.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and adherence to safety policies.
• Assist other facilities technicians with related equipment as needed.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
