Job summary

Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) is seeking an HVAC Technician to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on HVAC equipment, reporting to the Facilities Manager. You will ensure compliance with company policies, state laws, and regulatory guidelines while maintaining operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, on-call rotations every four weeks, and supervising external contractors.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older and pass background check.
• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in HVAC.
• Climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25lbs - 50lbs.
• 5-7 years of experience with commercial HVAC units.
• EPA licensure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance, and records as required.
• Reviews assigned work orders and estimates time and materials needed to complete repairs.
• Performs daily inspections of HVAC units.
• Maintains knowledge of OSHA standards and safety policies.
• Responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of rooftop unit (RTU) HVAC systems.
• On-Call response every 4 weeks.
• Oversees outside contractors and inspects their work.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations.

Job description

• The HVAC Technician position reports directly to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for preventative maintenance and corrective repair of HVAC equipment in compliance with company policy and regulations.
• Essential job functions include performing repairs, inspections of HVAC units, and maintaining knowledge of OSHA standards and safety policies.
• Other job responsibilities include being on-call every 4 weeks, overseeing outside contractors, and responding quickly to emergency situations.
• Minimum job requirements include being 21 years or older, having experience or certification in HVAC, and 5-7 years of commercial HVAC experience. EPA licensure is preferred.

AWH is a U.S. multi-state operator in seven states including Illinois, Michigan, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Maryland.

JOB SUMMARY

This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for preventative maintenance and corrective repair of HVAC equipment. The HVAC Technician completes their duties in compliance with the company policy, laws and rules and guidelines administered by the appropriate regulatory bodies in said state.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Preforms assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repairs, records as required.
• Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair.
• Preform daily inspections of HVAC units
• Maintain adequate knowledge of and comply with OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.
• Responsible for preventative maintenance and corrective repair of HVAC roof top units (RTU's).

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITES

• Responsible for On-Call response every 4 weeks
• Oversee and inspect the work performed by outside contractors
• Respond quickly to emergency situations

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be able to pass background check
• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in HVAC required
• Climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25lbs - 50lbs
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt
• 5-7 years of experience working with commercial HVAC units
