Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking an HVAC Technician Helper to assist service technicians with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial equipment. You will work on split systems, rooftops, heat pumps, and DX systems, under supervision, and contribute to safe, efficient operations.

You will document work daily on handheld devices, support repair tasks, and participate as part of a team to meet project timelines. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on commercial equipment preferred.
• EPA universal certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 hour preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with performing HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting on commercial equipment in various settings.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC equipment.
• Assist with diagnosing breakdowns, testing parts, and performing repairs.
• Support troubleshooting and maintenance of large heating and cooling systems and control systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and complete daily electronic documentation on a handheld device.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet timeframes.
• Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.
