Shamin Hotels in Richmond, VA is seeking an HVAC Technician Helper to join our engineering team. This entry-level, hands-on role works with experienced technicians to keep hotel properties comfortable, safe, and running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Hands-on HVAC or related mechanical trade experience.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools and routine maintenance practices.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; travel between properties may be required.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC technicians with inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Perform preventive maintenance: change filters, clean coils, clear drains, lubricate parts, check belts.
• Help diagnose issues on guest-room units, PTACs, rooftops, and kitchen equipment.
• Transport tools and parts; keep mechanical rooms and workshops clean and organized.
• Record inspections and repairs accurately.
• Support emergency maintenance and after-hours calls.
• Assist with general building maintenance tasks.
