Edinburg CISD is seeking an HVAC Technician to oversee the operation and maintenance of the district's HVAC systems. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus several years of HVAC experience, including chill water systems.

A Refrigerant Recovery Certification and a valid driver's license are required. The position involves maintaining system components, reading blueprints, and ensuring safe, compliant operation.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Three years experience in HVAC.
• Experience in chill water systems and controls preferred.
• Refrigerant Recovery Certification.
• Able to read blueprints and schematics.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Supports chilled and hot water systems.
• Responsible for the maintenance and operation of the HVAC systems, which include maintaining filters, and coils, maintaining cooling towers, maintaining valves and control system for all district's HVAC units.
• Replace A/C units as they breakdown.
• Reports any deviation from the normal operation of equipment to the HVAC Foreman.
• Reports to the HVAC Foreman any chemicals or materials needed for the operation of all HVAC systems.
• Responsible to successfully complete all work orders and to submit them to office staff. ? Responsible to keep logs of refrigerant used.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others. Performs other related duties as assigned.
