Job summary

The Apprentice will work alongside licensed technicians to learn the ins and outs of working on HVAC equipment and expand the skill set. Duties include assisting with installing, maintaining, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and boiler systems, testing equipment, mounting, diagnosing, wiring controls, and keeping the work area clean.

This position requires a technical high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, OSHA 10 certification, and strong verbal and written communication with

Qualifications

• Diploma from a technical High School is required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• OSHA 10 certification is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with varied audiences, e.g., project managers.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed technicians with installing, maintaining, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and boiler systems.
• Assist with service and installations including testing equipment, mounting equipment, performing diagnosis, adjusting refrigerant and wiring controls.
• Assist techs, however possible, taking the time to get familiar with equipment and proper procedures.
• Maintain a clean work environment, gathering all tools and materials at the end of the day.
