Job summary

Fluor Corporation in Houston is seeking an HVAC Technician to install, maintain and repair critical HVAC systems and related equipment. The role requires diagnosing faults, performing emergency repairs, and maintaining logs while complying with safety and client requirements.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of HVAC experience, EPA Universal Certification, and an active or achievable TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance. U.S. citizenship and local residency are preferred for 24/7 facility support.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair HVAC systems including chillers, cooling towers, air handlers and pumps.
• Identify maintenance risks on equipment and diagnose electrical/mechanical faults.
• Perform emergency repairs promptly and ensure 24/7 HVAC coverage.
• Keep daily logs and records; follow service standards and customer requirements.
• Read schematics and work plans; operate in confined spaces and at heights; use PPE.

If this sounds like a culture you would like to work in, you're invited to apply for this role.Fluor is a leading government contractor with a proven track record of delivering high-value technical solutions around the world to U.S. government agencies such as the DOE, NNSA, the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.## Job Description\\*\\*\\* Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph\\*\\*\\*- Installing, maintaining and repairing Critical HVAC systems such as Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Handlers, Compressors, Hot and Chilled Water Pumps, CRAC Units, Exhaust Fans etc.- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating, brazing and soldering.- Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers and water heaters, and fixturessuch as sinks and toilets, using hand and power tools.- Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.- Ability to work after hours, weekends, public holidays and possible shift work to ensure 24 hour HVAC coverage to facility.- Must be able to work in a safe manner utilizing all required PPE, site safety plans, and safe work practices at all times- Other duties as assigned.#Intel## Basic Job Requirements- Trade school diploma or completed apprenticeship.- 2+ years of experience as a HVAC Technician- High School diploma or GED## Other Job Requirements- EPA Universal Certification- Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph- U.S. Citizen- Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge (I.e., ability to use email, internet, Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel, to effectively conduct company business on the program).
