Title: HVAC Technician 4
Hiring Manager: Mark VanDam – Facilities Manager, Carey Lively – Principal HVAC Engineering Lead
Location: Pfizer Rocky Mount 27801
Pay/Bill Rate: $40-$45/ $85/hr
Schedule: 3-2-2 schedule 6:45am – 6:45pm
Conversion Details: 6 month contract to hire
Degree: no degree requirement, associates or higher in related field preferred
Responsibilities
- 8+ years of experience repairing, troubleshooting, and performing PM on HVAC & Utility systems in a GMP setting as well as team lead experience
- Systems maintenance for HVAC mechanical systems (AHU, Boilers, Chillers)
- Maintain Refrigeration systems, Clean and Dirty Utility systems
- Operate centrifugal pumps and automated valves
- Lead HVAC shift activities and supervise daily shift responsibilities (note: this position does not involve direct supervision; responsible for ensuring the associated shift completes the required daily shift requirements)
- Identify deficiencies and functional issues with site HVAC systems performance and complete corrective actions as required
- Coordinate maintenance and installation of HVAC systems including support utilities as directed by the Principal Engineer
- Read and understand detailed plans and submittals related to HVAC installations and building automation systems
- Maintain detailed knowledge of HVAC system controls including the site building automation system (MetaSys)
- Ensure utility activities comply with SOPs, GMPs, and related regulatory practices
- Perform daily system trend checks and implement actions to address out-of-range findings
- Plan and schedule contractor HAVAC related tasks; instruct other technicians in operation and functionality of site HVAC systems
- Support planning and execution of HVAC maintenance/projects during site shutdowns
Qualifications
- Valid EPA 608 Universal license
- Minimum eight years progressive experience in HVAC maintenance
- Minimum two years performing HVAC maintenance in GMP environment
- Associates degree or advanced technical certification preferred
- Knowledge of general trades: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, machine shop, etc.
- Ability to understand and execute simple to complex maintenance tasks for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems
