Job summary

Union Depot in Atlanta seeks a 3rd Year HVAC Apprentice to support commercial and industrial HVAC work across the Metro Atlanta market. You will work with journeyman and senior technicians, performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and safe work execution.

This role focuses on developing hands-on skills, following ABM and site safety requirements, and building a career in commercial HVAC. Ideal candidates are coachable, dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to grow into a qualified HVAC

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or completing 3rd year HVAC apprenticeship.
• Must follow safety procedures and site rules.

• Able to work under supervision in live customer environments.
• Strong attention to detail during PMs and inspections.

Job description

The HVAC - 3rd Year Apprentice supports commercial and industrial HVAC and mechanical work across the Metro Atlanta market. This role is designed for a developing HVAC technician who has completed foundational apprenticeship training and is ready to gain hands‑on experience in commercial, industrial, and institutional mechanical environments.

This position will assist journeyman technicians, senior technicians, and project/service leaders with preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment inspections, documentation, and safe work execution. The technician will be expected to continue developing technical skills while following ABM, customer, union, and site‑specific safety requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Willingness to learn commercial HVAC service, maintenance, and project procedures.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to follow instructions carefully.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and developing troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work under supervision in live customer environments.
• Strong attention to detail when completing PMs, inspections, and documentation.
