PorchLight Services in Sioux Falls is seeking an experienced HVAC technician for residential and light commercial service and installations. You will diagnose, service, and install equipment during regular business hours, with on-call emergency rotation.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC systems, diagnostics for forced air, boilers and mini splits.

• Comfortable working on rooftops and pulling trailers.

Responsibilities

• Run service calls for residential and light commercial customers, including diagnostics and installations.
• Be available for on-call after-hours service rotation.
• Maintain stock inventory and materials.
• Process payments toward invoices in QuickBooks.
• Answer phones to schedule appointments or take messages.
• Handle over-the-counter sales and payments.

We are a 3rd generation HVAC company, a family-owned company that has operated since 1943. We service and install residential and light commercial HVAC equipment in Sioux Falls and the surrounding area. With 80 years in business, we offer stability and career growth opportunities. Our regular business hours are 8-5 Monday through Friday with 24-hour emergency service. We offer competitive pay and benefits, high job diversity, and year-round work. Duties include, but not limited to:

• run service calls for residential and light commercial customers, including diagnostic, maintenance, and accessory installs during regular business hours
• be available for on-call emergency after-hour service rotation
• maintaining stock inventory and materials
• receiving payments toward invoices in Quick books
• answering phone calls to schedule appointments or take messages or use call forwarding service
• handling over the counter/walk-in sales and payments
• safely and responsibly operate company vehicles and heavy machinery ie. forklift, scissor lift

Requirements

Must have HVAC experience

Must understand diagnostics in forced air, boilers and mini splits

Can think for themself/ independent thinkers

General handy man

Must be ok with heights and can work on rooftop systems

Must be able to pull a trailer

Tools can be provided if needed

• Hourly pay is negotiable
