HVAC Technician - Roaming | Multi-Family Property Management - Philadelphia $32-37/hr

Our client, a well known multi-family property management group, is seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join their team. This role is essential for maintaining the comfort and safety of their residents across a multi-family portfolio. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities

Preventative Maintenance: Perform seasonal tune-ups on split systems, heat pumps, and furnaces to ensure peak efficiency and longevity.

Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems; repair or replace compressors, evaporator coils, fan motors, and thermostats.

System Upgrades: Assist in the replacement of aging units and the installation of new energy-efficient systems.

Emergency Response: Participate in an on-call rotation to handle urgent climate control issues for residents.

Compliance: Maintain detailed logs of refrigerant usage and ensure all repairs meet local building codes and EPA regulations.

Required Qualifications

EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal): Must be certified to handle Type I, II, and III refrigerants. (Required)

410A Safety Certification: Demonstrated proficiency and safety training for R-410A high-pressure systems. (Required)

Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in residential or multi-family HVAC service.

Technical Skill: Strong understanding of brazing, soldering, and reading electrical schematics.

Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces (crawl spaces/attics).

Note to Candidates: This position requires a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, as you will be operating a company service vehicle between various property sites.

Preferred Skills .

Basic knowledge of plumbing or electrical work as it relates to apartment turns.

Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with residents and property managers.
