Job summary

Fuyao Glass America Inc. in Moraine, OH, is seeking an HVAC Technician to maintain and improve building climate control systems.

The role requires coordinating with the Facility Maintenance team and performing routine PMs, troubleshooting, and emergency fixes to ensure uninterrupted operation of air handlers, chillers, and related equipment. The candidate will plan monthly maintenance, manage spare parts, and support installation and commissioning of new units.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years HVAC technician experience and/or training.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the normal operation of all HVAC system including print rooms, lamination rooms, cold rooms, buffer rooms and ring rooms.
  • Apply the maintenance service to all Dock heaters and office air handlers.
  • Planning and scheduling monthly maintenance plan and preventive maintenance plan according to the actual working status of the HVAC system.
  • Apply daily maintenance service / emergency fixing to HVAC system and recording the fixing process in Epic.
  • Propose solving schemes to sudden failures on the HVAC system.
  • Renew the spare parts list and manage HVAC spare parts.
  • Installing/ Debugging and apply final acceptance to all new installed air-conditioner.
  • Updating and improving the current HVAC system.
  • Responsible for Mechanical room and cooling tower 5S, daily spot checks and PMs; Humidifiers and AHU units maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

III. Job Functions and Duties
NO. Representative Duties
  • 1 Ensure the normal operation of all HVAC system includes all print rooms, lamination rooms, cold rooms, buffer rooms and ring rooms;
  • 2 Apply the maintenance service to all Dock heaters and office air handlers;
  • 3 Planning and scheduling monthly maintenance plan and preventive maintenance plan according to the actual working status of the HVAC system.
  • 4 Apply daily maintenance service / emergency fixing to HVAC system and recoding the fixing process in Epic;
  • 5 Proving solving scheme to sudden failure happened on the HVAC system.
  • 6 Renewing the spare parts list and manage HVAC spare parts.
  • 7 Installing/ Debugging and apply final acceptance to all new installed air -conditioner.
  • 8 Updating and improving the current HVAC system.
  • 9 Responsible for Mechanical room(include chillers, air compressors, and dryers) and cooling tower 5S, Daily spot checks and PMs;
  • 10 Responsible for PM and troubleshooting all humidifiers of curing rooms;
  • 11 Responsible for PM and troubleshooting all AHU units and Spot coolers;
  • 12 Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Language Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English. - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.

Experience

1+ years HVAC technician experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Education

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Physical Condition

The employee is regularly required o stand for long periods.
Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip)
Visual acuity including, but not limited to:
a. NEAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Use this factor when special and minute accuracy is demanded.
b. FAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Use this factor when visual efficiency in terms of far acuity is required in day and night/dark conditions.
c. DEPTH PERCEPTION - Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are.
d. COLOR VISION - Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
e. FIELD OF VISION - Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements for this position
are safety glasses, hearing protection and steel-toed work boots.

  • Read blueprints and follow design specifications for installing an HVAC system, in both new and existing buildings;
  • Familiar with office software WORD, EXCEL, CAD;
  • Properly connect the HVAC systems to supply lines and install the necessary electrical wiring;

  • Understand heating and air-conditioning systems function;
  • Evaluate job-related safety hazards and employ accident prevention techniques;
  • Use testing equipment and all types of tools;
  • Troubleshooting skills on all HVAC system;

  • Arc Flash, LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection Training
