Job summary

RiseMe is seeking an HVAC technician to install, service, and repair air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating units in a Michigan facility. Under supervision, you will perform preventive maintenance, seasonal transitions, and component replacements, coordinating with building management systems.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary training, refrigeration certification, and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Qualifications

• Driving record must be within the approved insurance company’s regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance, adjustments, and basic repairs on HVAC systems.
• Performs seasonal overhauls and transitions of systems to and from heating/cooling.
• Participates in major component replacement and evaluation of complex system problems.
• Performs building system repairs in coordination with operators of the centralized Energy Management and Control System.
• Maintains knowledge of building management system and can detect trouble in the system.
• Evaluates/modifies ventilation systems to improve cooling/heating efficiency.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes safety and environmental practices.
• Adheres to current rules and regulations related to HVAC so that systems pass inspection the first time.
• Completes work orders and records material used; may perform general maintenance as required.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Post-secondary training in related programs

Refrigeration certification

Job description

Under general supervision installs, services, maintains and repairs air conditioning, refrigeration, heating units and other related small appliances in accordance with requirements and standards. May also perform general maintenance and repair tasks.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Performs preventive maintenance, adjustments, and basic repairs on both pneumatically controlled and digitally controlled HVAC systems.
• Performs seasonal overhauls and transitions of systems to and from heating/cooling.
• Participates in major component replacement and evaluation of complex system problems.
• Performs building system repairs in coordination with operators of the centralized Energy Management and Control System.
• Maintains knowledge of building management system, performs standard duties as systems operator; can detect trouble in system with reasonable success.
• Evaluates/modifies ventilation systems to improve cooling/heating efficiency and comfort.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Adheres to current rules and regulations related to HVAC so that systems pass inspection the first time.
• Completes work orders, records material utilized on jobs and other required documentation.
• May also perform general maintenance and repair tasks as required.
• Performs other related duties as required and directed.

Required:
