Job Summary And Qualifications

Role Summary: Performs various maintenance tasks to insure a safe and functional environment. Monitors construction and renovation projects.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Education: Preferred Education: High School Graduate or (4-years) Equivalent experience working in the capacity of general maintenance or HVAC. Must have a minimum of 2,000 documented and verifiable hours of experience (verifiable through another licensed Class I Heating contractor who’s license can be verified, or through history working at a Mission Hospital) or 1,000 hours of service or maintenance work 1,000 hours of HVAC installation, layout and design of HVAC systems Individual may hold a North Carolina Class I Heating License or Be a licensed 3rd Level Apprentice, Journeyman HVAC Technician or Have an HVAC contractor’s license from another state equivalent to a Class I Heating License in North Carolina
• Required License: If applying for a maintenance technician position within a member hospital (Mission/St. Joseph, McDowell Hospital, Care Partners, Angel Medical Center, Blue Ridge Regional, Highland-Cashiers, Transylvania) then you will not be expected to drive a fleet vehicle and do not need a NC driver’s license. If you are a trades person (Plumber, Electrician, Mechanical, HVAC, Painter), working with the Regional Facility Maintenance crew, or the Central Region then you must have a valid NC driver’s license or procure one within 30-days of employment; unless you are an out-of-state commuter, you must have at least two years of satisfactory driving experience and be at least 18 years of age to meet the Mission Health established insurance guidelines. If required to have a driver’s license as noted above, you can be required to travel to any facility within Mission Health as needed to perform your trade.

• Required Experience:: 2-years in an HVAC capacity
• Preferred Experience: General equipment or building maintenance.
