Job summary

Sodexo is hiring an HVAC Technician for the University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center in Elyria, Ohio. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The position requires 1+ years of related experience and an EPA CFC Universal Certificate. You will work full-time on a standard schedule, with some weekends/holidays as needed, and participate in a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related work experience.
• EPA CFC Universal Certificate is required.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems including chilled water, VAV, VRF, and single/multi-split systems.
• Ability to prioritize safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
• Monitor HVAC systems and perform preventive maintenance per schedules.
• Respond to hot and cold calls, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Check and repair valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, and other components.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time with regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned per client requirements.

Location: UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS ELYRIA MEDICAL CENTER - 21105010

Workdays/shifts: Mornings - varying days, and some weekends/holidays. More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $24.00 per hour - $34.25 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a HVAC Technician at Sodexo, you are a problem-solver and safety promoter. We will rely on your expert knowledge and technical skills to identify repair and replacement needs. By keeping others safe, your actions have meaningful impact.

Responsibilities include:

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems
• Monitor HVAC systems and operations and ensure that routine preventive maintenance performs according to established schedules and standards
• Respond to hot and cold calls, then troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Check, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes, and other functional components of the system
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

What You Bring:

• Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.
• 1 or more years of related work experience.
• Holds appropriate license/certification for the specific work to be done in the city and state in which the work will be done. Minimum requirement is EPA CFC Universal Certificate.
• Working knowledge of a variety of HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, variable air, variable refrigerant flow, single/multi-split and other commercial systems.
• May be required to have previous BMS experience if working in a commercial environment.
