Community First Medical Center is seeking an HVAC Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs on the Center's HVAC and refrigeration systems in the Chicago area.
The role requires up to three years in HVAC with training and a technical degree; EPA refrigerant certification and HVAC licensing are preferred. Excellent English communication is essential for safe and efficient operation of all mechanical systems.
The HVAC Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs to the Medical Center’s HVAC and refrigeration systems, including associated mechanical equipment and utilities. He/she ensures the uninterrupted, efficient and safe operation of all boilers, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
Community First Medical Center offers benefits to all its full-time and part-time employees:
Up to three years previous experience in the field of HVAC required and 3+ years preferred
Training and coordination sufficient to handle various specialized tools and equipment
Technical Degree required
Ability to speak and write English to the extent necessary for safe and efficient performance of the job.
EPA Certification for safe handling of refrigerants required
Certification in Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, and Refrigeration required
City of Chicago Stationary Engineer’s License preferred
