Job summary

Bally's Biloxi is seeking a maintenance technician to perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance across the property. The role requires reading gauges, maintaining logs, and scheduling A/C for meeting spaces, with a focus on safety and rapid response to emergencies.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or higher, at least five years in mechanical work, and EPA certification; licenses for HVAC and boilers are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or better.
• Five years' experience in mechanical.
• Universal EPA Certification.
• 2nd Class Air Conditioning and Steam Boilers license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical repairs and maintenance to assigned areas.
• Takes readings on gauges and maintains logs for property and refrigeration equipment.
• Checks air handling units weekly and programs A/C schedules for meeting rooms daily.
• Responds to emergency conditions and assists in technical problems.
• Maintains preventive maintenance and records history in logs.
• Orders and inventories materials related to area and completes preventive maintenance paperwork.

Job description

• Performs mechanical repairs and maintenance to assigned areas.
• Takes frequent readings on all gauges on all property equipment and refrigeration equipment and maintain logs.
• Checks all air handling units once per week and programming A/C schedules for all meeting rooms daily.
• Performs all maintenance including preventive maintenance.
• Responds to all emergency conditions.
• Assists General Maintenance on technical problems.
• Assists the manager in emergency situations.
• Performs preventive maintenance to all equipment and record history in log.
• Orders and receives materials related to area and maintain orderly inventory.
• Familiarizes self with and completes all paperwork associated with preventive maintenance program.
• Maintains good housekeeping practices in shop and work areas.
• Assists in other areas in repairs.
• Maintains knowledge of property information and memorabilia.
• Adheres to department and property policies and procedures.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to exercise initiative and a sense of urgency.
• Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
