The Pictsweet Company is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems at our facilities. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and communicate system performance with management.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, HVAC license, EPA and NATE certifications, and strong mechanical/electrical aptitude with customer-focused communication.

Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC systems and components according to plans.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC/R malfunctions, including ducts and refrigerant lines.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Provide customer guidance and explain issues and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate service records and safety compliance.

Key duties include diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, conducting emergency repairs, reading blueprints, and communicating with management about system performance and upgrades, requiring strong technical skills, problem-solving, and customer service abilities.

The HVAC Technician installs, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, ensuring proper air quality and temperature control in buildings. Key duties include diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, conducting emergency repairs, reading blueprints, and communicating with management about system performance and upgrades, requiring strong technical skills, problem-solving, and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Installation : Setting up new HVAC systems ( furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, chillers, & boilers) , components, and electrical wiring according to plans.
  • Maintenance : Performing routine checks, cleaning, lubricating parts, and inspecting electrical connections for efficiency.
  • Repair : Diagnosing and fixing malfunctions including but not limited to ductwork, compressors and refrigerant lines, replacing worn parts, and handling emergency calls.
  • Troubleshooting : Identifying and resolving complex electrical and mechanical faults in HVACR systems.
  • Customer Service : Explaining issues, recommending maintenance, and providing guidance on usage.
  • Documentation : Keeping accurate records of work performed and maintaining compliance with safety codes.
Physical Environment Factors

This position will work in an office and building facilities environment. The position will involve working in confined spaces (crawl spaces, attics), outdoors in various weather, and lifting heavy equipment, requiring strength and stamina. Can include standard hours, but often requires emergency calls, evenings, weekends. Uses hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and sometimes computer systems for energy management.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED and completed apprenticeship/training.
  • HVAC license, EPA certification, NATE certification.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in various environments, lift heavy objects, and work after hours/weekends.
