Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Senior Technician to dismantle, inspect, diagnose defects, and repair rotating equipment essential to our fab operations. You will perform field service, alignment, and preventive maintenance while supporting utility systems and Fab equipment on-site in Austin.

The role requires 8–15 years in semiconductor manufacturing, with NCCER Millwright or industrial certification and experience with CMMS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or technical school certification preferred.
• NCCCR Millwright and/or Industrial Certification.
• Typically requires 8-15 years of experience.
• Semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing experience.
• May require a specific license depending on position.
• Experienced with digital alignment and precision tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges).
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Responsibilities

• Perform dismantling, inspecting, diagnosing defects, repairing and servicing rotating equipment.
• Perform field service to remove and install rotating equipment and perform alignment.
• Support operation and maintenance of utility systems and Fab support equipment.
• Provide mentoring or technical training as needed.
• Adhere to SOPs and handle advanced assignments requiring judgment.

Position Summary

In your role as an HVAC Maintenance Senior Technician, you'll be responsible to perform a variety of skilled tasks in dismantling, inspecting, diagnosing defects, repairing, servicing, and assembling rotating equipment that is serviced and repaired by company. You'll also perform field service work to remove and install rotating equipment; perform alignment and preventive maintenance tasks. You'll also be responsible for performing technical tasks in support of the operation and maintenance of utility systems, Fab support equipment, building maintenance.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Normally receives minimal supervision unless a major incident occurs.
• Receives some direction from Master Technician/TRs/Supervisors to prioritize non-routine daily tasks and/or projects.
• Identifies new assignment/projects based on the need of the department.
• Must have expert understanding of equipment/processes.
• Should demonstrate a deep level adaptability and the ability to change priorities based on the business needs.
• May provide mentoring to other non-exempt personnel.
• May provide technical training to the department or organization.
• Has advanced understanding the SOPs.
• Works on advanced assignment that require a considerable amount of judgment and initiative.

Skills and Qualifications

Here’s what you'll need:

• May require a specific license (dependent on individual position).
• Experienced and fluent in the use of digital alignment and precision tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges).
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems. (CMMS Programs).

The current base salary range for this role is between $20.50 - $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
