Job summary

Denver Public Schools seeks an experienced HVAC Technician to maintain and repair district heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 4 years of related trade experience.
• Must have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, evaluates and identifies system functioning; repairs or refers to a specialist.
• Performs pipefitting installation and repair for HVAC systems.
• Welds or screws copper pipes; soft soldering as needed.
• Fabricates and installs HVAC piping; coordinates with shop staff.
• Diagnoses repairs using blueprints and codes; modifies systems.
• Designs and updates existing district HVAC systems.
• Assist with snow removal and respond to emergencies 24/7 as needed.
• Communicates with site staff; prepares and cleans job sites safely.
• Reviews work orders; sources supplies and materials.
• Under supervision, bids on work and mentors other staff.
