Position Summary:

The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role requires a thorough understanding of HVAC systems and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Pay: $25-35/Hour

Required Experience for HVAC Tech/Installer:

  • 3+ years of HVAC field experience
  • Universal EPA and Universal Certification Required
  • Knowledge and understanding of residential and/or commercial HVAC systems and local codes
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to read and interpret various technical data, such as pressure and temperature
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative

Accountabilities for HVAC Tech/Installer:

  • Properly and efficiently removes old HVAC systems and installs new systems
  • Performs preventive maintenance; cleans, adjusts, and repairs HVAC systems - air handling units, duct work, vents, condensation drainage
  • Tracks repairs and work completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Effectively communicates with clients and customers
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and safe condition that meets safety regulations. Orders new equipment as necessary
  • Reads and interprets wiring diagrams
  • Maintains tools needed in trade up to date
  • On-call expectations - Performs emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
  • Performs other duties as assigned

General Working Conditions: This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Travel to different locations will be required.
