Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking an HVAC Technician 2 responsible for delivering portable HVAC equipment to customers and providing excellent service. You will demonstrate professional communication and handle operation and repair tasks. This role involves installing equipment, troubleshooting, paperwork, and on-call emergency support on weekends and evenings. A HVAC certificate and 3–5 years of experience are preferred, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of formal HVAC experience/training.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Able to work after hours and weekends during peak periods.
• HVAC Certificate preferred, which recognizes formal training and state licensing.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls
• Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment; trains authorized operator (and/or customer) on safe use of equipment
• Directs customers to sign appropriate paperwork; keeps track of serial numbers
• Troubleshoots and understands operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of rental equipment
• Operates company vehicle safely and follows safety policies
• Cleans and tests returned equipment; ensures operation and appearance meet standards
• Completes paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls
• Installs flexible gas hose on propane and natural gas applications
• Checks gas connections safely
• Maintains records of in-stock and rented equipment
• On call for emergency service on rotating weekends/evenings
