Job summary

Goddard Public Schools is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our Facilities & Maintenance team. The role covers installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of district HVAC and refrigeration systems across schools and facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable learning environment.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, HVAC certifications, and at least 3 years of commercial HVAC experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Technical HVAC training or certification preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required or obtainable within a specified timeframe.
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical controls, refrigeration, boilers, chillers, and air handling equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Valid Kansas driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems.

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems throughout the district's schools and support facilities.
