Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a TAB technician to test, adjust, and balance HVAC systems (air and hydronic) to meet design specs. You will inspect systems, read mechanical drawings, and document all testing steps using project reporting procedures.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and strong math skills for balancing calculations. NEBB/AABC certification is preferred but not required, and the ability to work independently with attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong math skills including calculations for air and water balancing.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, technical documents, and Statements of Work (SOWs).

Responsibilities

• Test, adjust, and balance (TAB) air and water (hydronic) HVAC systems to meet design specifications.
• Inspect systems to verify compliance with project plans and identify performance issues.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, control schematics, and equipment data.
• Accurately document all testing, adjusting, and balancing activities using project-specific reporting procedures.
