Job summary

Validated Custom Solutions (VCS), part of the Envelop Group, seeks a Support Engineer to assist the sales team from inquiry through delivery, validating HVAC equipment selection, pricing, submittals, and providing technical product knowledge.

You will collaborate with sales engineers to design HVAC systems and integrate VCS product offerings into project documents, prepare submittal data, and support proposal development and pricing. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent training and experience in a similar field.
• 2+ years of related work experience in HVAC equipment, controls or similar field.
• Moderate technical knowledge of HVAC systems and manufacturers.
• Understanding of HVAC controls in new construction and retrofit projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales engineers to understand customer requirements and determine system needs.
• Design HVAC systems and integrate VCS product offerings into project documents.
• Prepare, finalize, and review preliminary and final proposals; prepare submittals and validate equipment selection.
• Assist sales engineer in determining proposal price and development of project schedule.
• Prepare submittal data and provide revisions for approved submittal packages.
• Review manufacturer acknowledgements for accuracy and correct orders as required.
• Complete orders and track progress while updating status to customer and sales engineers.
• Maintain accurate records including contract closeout and warranty execution.
