Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in Dallas is seeking a Sustaining Engineer for HVAC products to support ongoing operations, ensure performance and manufacturability, and drive cost-reduction initiatives.

You will provide engineering support to factory operations, manage ECNs and BOM updates, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering required; 2-5 years experience; Lean Six Sigma a plus; strong CAD/PLM skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years in sustaining engineering, manufacturing engineering, or HVAC product engineering.
• Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt a plus.
• Strong CAD experience and PLM system familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily engineering support to factory operations and resolve technical issues.
• Drive product improvements, cost reduction, and manufacturability enhancements.
• Manage engineering changes, supplier qualifications, and documentation updates.
• Ensure compliance with HVAC industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers or interns while independently managing small sustaining projects.
• Provide daily support for ECNs, BOM updates, and supplier qualification testing.
• Develop and validate minor design modifications for manufacturability or quality.
• Coordinate with supply chain to qualify alternate suppliers and materials.
• Use structured problem-solving tools (FMEA, RCA, 8D) to resolve issues.
