This job requires theoretical knowledge of air conditioning and the production of chilled water, as well as practical mechanical and electrical understanding.**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:*** Coordinates and performs inspections on HVAC systems and components (e.g., heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance.* Perform installations of HVAC equipment and systems and monitors repairs on systems and/or components (e.g., pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.).* Coordinates with HVAC Lead and/or Trade Shop Supervisor on completing projects and work orders efficiently.* Diagnoses cause of problems and/or failures in HVAC systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.* Tracks performance of routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the availability of HVAC systems.* Prepares written reports (work order status, activity logs, etc.) for documenting activities and/or conveying information.* Requests equipment and supplies to maintain correct inventory amounts and ensure availability of items required to complete installations and/or repairs.* Responds to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.* Performs other duties as requested.**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:*** High School diploma or GED.* Must have at least six (6) years of HVAC experience.**LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS:*** Journeyman HVAC License required* CFC/HFC certification preferred**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:*** Must be skilled in the use of hand and power tools common to trade.* Ability to interpret and apply codes, blueprints, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings is required.* Must have knowledge of operation / installation of a variety of complete HVAC systems / equipment.**SECURITY CLEARANCE:**Active Top Secret/SCI CI Poly**Intrepid Acquisition Holdings, LLC**Intrepid Acquisition Holdings, LLC.
