Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a field team of HVAC sheet metal technicians.
• Oversee HVAC sheet metal projects from start to finish.
• Provide hands-on guidance and troubleshooting in the field.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure safety and specs.
• Fabricate, assemble, install, modify, and repair sheet metal and ductwork.

System Service & Engineering, a Fidelity Company, is seeking an experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Field Supervisor to join our team in Lynn Haven, FL.

In this role, you will provide hands‑on leadership and technical guidance to HVAC sheet metal technicians while overseeing field installations, projects, quality, and team development. The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial HVAC professional who understands sheet metal fabrication and installation and is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.

What You'll Do

• Supervise, lead, and support a team of HVAC sheet metal technicians in the field.
• Oversee and manage quoted HVAC sheet metal projects from start to completion.
• Provide hands‑on technical guidance and troubleshooting support to field technicians.
• Perform quality control inspections to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and according to specifications.
• Fabricate, assemble, install, alter, and repair sheet metal components and HVAC ductwork as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders.
• Ensure proper installation, alignment, sealing, insulation, and overall quality of ductwork and HVAC systems.
• Oversee installation and repair of refrigerant piping and other HVAC components.
• Assist with project planning, job‑site coordination, and resolving field issues.
• Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and mentoring to Team Members.
• Conduct annual performance reviews and support employee development.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified HVAC sheet metal talent.
• Promote a safe, professional, and customer‑focused work environment.

What You'll Bring to the Table

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC sheet metal experience preferred.
• Previous leadership, foreman, lead technician, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and sheet metal fabrication and installation.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and work orders.
• Experience with ductwork fabrication, installation, modifications, and repairs.
• Experience with brazing and running refrigerant piping.
• Understanding of refrigerant flow and the operation of HVAC equipment.
• General understanding of chilled water building loop systems.
• Knowledge of local HVAC codes and industry standards.
• EPA Certification is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop field technicians.
• Basic hand tools required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unaided.
• Ability to bend, squat, stoop, reach overhead, climb ladders, and perform physical work without assistance.
