Job summary

Egan, a long-standing mechanical contractor serving West Michigan, is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to support customers in and around Muskegon, MI. The role provides opportunities to work with a growing team of project managers and engineers on diverse HVAC projects.

You will troubleshoot, service, and maintain commercial HVAC systems, read MEP drawings, and communicate clearly with customers. Travel to client sites and a day shift Monday through Friday are part of the position, with wages

Qualifications

• HVAC industry knowledge and applications.
• Ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications.
• Understanding sequence of equipment operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
• Keeps customers informed on the nature of service provided, outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, and/or repairs.
• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment, systems, controls, and refrigeration.
• Performs equipment startups, warranty repairs, service repairs, scheduled maintenance, and offers sale support to customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and seasonal check-ups
• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems
• Support equipment installations

Duties

• Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
• Keeps customer informed on the nature of service provided, outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, and/or repairs.
• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment, systems, controls, and refrigeration.
• Performs equipment startups, warranty repairs, service repairs, scheduled maintenance, and offers sale support to customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and seasonal check-ups
• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems
• Support equipment installations

Skills & Experience

• Knowledge and understanding of HVAC industry applications,
• Ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications
• Understands the sequence of operations of equipment and systems.

Requirements

• Previous experience in HVAC service.
• Punctual, courteous, organized and customer service oriented.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to keep accurate and legible daily records.
• Must have a valid Michigan Driver's license - minimal violations.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Ability to work alone and in a team environment.
• Travel to the customer site will be required.
• Superior organizational and planning skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, Day Shift
• 8 Hours/Day

Benefits

• Wage Range: $35-$45/hr., with full benefits
