Job summary

RK Industries is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician in Avon, CO to service, diagnose, and repair a wide range of commercial systems. This role emphasizes independent work, safety, and high-quality craftsmanship across RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and related equipment.

You will perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting while documenting findings and ensuring code compliance.

Qualifications

• Indirect supervision.
• Must hold and retain a valid H/CFC universal license.
• Experience with RTUs, boilers, MAUs, AHUs, fans, pumps, cooling towers, VAV/FPB’s, automation systems, and chillers.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs and VAVs.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot BAS, controls, and sensors.
• Read and interpret commercial blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
• Perform detailed system inspections and identify deficiencies or potential failures.
• Complete quality control inspections on service work and ensure standards.
• Respond to emergency service calls and minimize downtime for clients.
• Accurately document service activities, findings, and repair recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local codes.
• Communicate technical information clearly with facility managers and project teams.
