HVAC Service Technician Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC problems, including component installation and replacement
• Estimate costs for repairs and services to customers
• Perform preventative maintenance and warranty services
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
• Test newly installed components for proper function
• Maintain records of completed work and parts used

HVAC Service Technician Qualifications

• At least 1 year of HVAC-related experience
• EPA 608 Type 2 certification
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, or 100 lbs with assistance
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a positive attitude
