Trane is looking for a Journeyman HVAC Service Technician in Anchorage, Alaska. In this role, you will leverage your HVAC skills to troubleshoot, diagnose, and service various commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. What You’ll Be Doing

As a Commercial Service Technician, you will be dispatched from your home to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service for commercial and industrial equipment. Your duties may include:

  • Start-up and commissioning of Trane controls and HVAC equipment
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems like split systems, package units, chillers, and ancillary components
  • Building control system troubleshooting and optimization
  • Equipment replacements and modifications as needed
What You'll Bring To The Table
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience with commercial HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting
  • EPA Certification (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hand-held devices
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record
  • Willingness to support on-call rotation, overtime, and occasional overnight stays
Additional Requirements and Environmental Exposure
  • Ability to operate a vehicle safely
  • Use of safety gear including helmets, goggles, fall protection, and safety boots
  • Physical ability to twist, squat, reach, stand, lift, and maneuver in confined spaces and at heights
  • Exposure to variable weather, mechanical parts, heights, electrical hazards, and noisy environments
