Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world's largest HVAC company, is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician II in Greensboro, NC, onsite. You will service commercial and industrial equipment, including rooftops, chillers, boilers and more, with comprehensive training provided.

Responsibilities include maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and mentoring Level I technicians. Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, 3+ years HVAC experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED obtained.
• Associates Degree or HVAC certification preferred.
• 3+ years of HVAC experience.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Current First Aid / CPR card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and servicing of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, replacing filters/belts and lubricating parts.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment and wiring related to fan coils, heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops, cooling towers and condensers.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Assist with warranty service applications by inspecting and testing systems.
• Direct Level I technicians with hands-on training to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Contribute to centrifugal rebuilds under Lead/Level III supervision.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards and related documents.
• Explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences and keep customers updated.
• Engage in Daikin Learning and maintain required certifications; uphold safety policies and a clean work area.
• Participate in on-site and regional training programs as available.

Location:Greensboro, NC - Onsite

This role is potentially eligible for a sign-on bonus.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes
• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks
• Perform warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components
• Direct Level I technicians through hands-on demonstrations of all necessary steps to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Introduction to centrifugal rebuilds from Lead and Level III technicians
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner
• Interact with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning. Maintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets
• Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld
• Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures

Your Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associates Degree or technical school HVAC certification (preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC or related industry
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
• Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred)
• OSHA 10 certification (preferred)
• Current first aid / CPR card (preferred)

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $27.60 - $44.29 in NC. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
