Daikin Applied in Raleigh, NC is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician II to service commercial and industrial equipment, including rooftops, chillers, boilers, and water-source systems. You'll receive comprehensive training and work on cutting-edge technologies while contributing to a safety-focused, growth-oriented team.

This role requires 3+ years in HVAC, a valid driver's license, and technical certification where available.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or HVAC tech certification preferred.
• 3+ years' experience in HVAC or related industry.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred; CPR/First Aid card preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment, including logging machines, cleaning coils, replacing filters and belts, and lubrication.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Perform warranty service inspections to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components.
• Direct Level I technicians through hands-on demonstrations of troubleshooting and repair steps.
• Assist with centrifugal rebuilds under supervision of Lead/Level III technicians.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and other service records promptly.
• Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in training through regional technician trainers and Daikin Learning; maintain required certifications and develop new skills.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow safety policies and procedures.

Location:Raleigh, NC

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes
• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks
• Perform warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components
• Direct Level I technicians through hands-on demonstrations of all necessary steps to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Introduction to centrifugal rebuilds from Lead and Level III technicians
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner
• Interact with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning. Maintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets
• Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld
• Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures

Your Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associates Degree or technical school HVAC certification (preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC or related industry
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
• Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred)
• OSHA 10 certification (preferred)Current first aid / CPR card (preferred)

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $27.60 - $35 in NC. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law. Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing. All testing and employment decisions will comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
