Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas, the world’s largest HVAC company, is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician I in Charlotte, NC. You will work on commercial equipment—rooftops, chillers, boilers—while receiving comprehensive training in-person, online, and on the job.

Onsite location in Charlotte with opportunities to grow your skills through Daikin Learning and regional trainer programs. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairs, warranty service support, and documenting service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate’s degree or HVAC certificate from technical school is preferred.
• 0-2 years of related work experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required.
• Licenses and/or training cards as required by local law.
• Commercial HVAC industry experience is preferred.
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification is preferred.
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (training provided during onboarding).
• Current first aid / CPR card is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication.
• Assist in repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to HVAC systems.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Assist with warranty service by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and other reports promptly.
• Interact with customers by providing status reports before, during, and after each call.
• Participate in available training and maintain required certifications.
• Ensure clean work area and adhere to safety policies.
